A very small and rare George III turtleshell and ormolu-mounted quarter chiming table clock, made for the Ottoman market. The lovely domed case has particularly high quality ormolu mounts and the movement only just 'squeezes' in. The enamel dial has Turkish chapters and the mask retains the original floral painting. The movement has verge escapement and chimes prettily on a nest of six bells.
