An important mahogany astronomical table regulator. The movement now with some alterations. This unique clock, which was orignally made for George III, was gifted by Queen Victoria circa 1841 to the Royal Observatory at Armagh,. It was then subsequently sold to the great collector David Wetherfield whose collection was dispersed by New York dealer Arthur Vernay in 1928. Provenance; King George III, Royal Observatory, Richmond
