A very rare ebony and gilt-brass mounted striking miniature table clock; one of only seven miniature table clocks by Tompion. The beautifully proportioned case is correctly numbered 414 on the front door sill, so too the movement backplate which is also beautifully engraved with foliage and centred by an unusual Oriental mask - a feature unique to this clock.
