A very fine French mahogany two-day marine chronometer. The dial with retail signature and up-and-down sector calibrated 0-49, the movement has very lightly spotted plates, Earnshaw-type detent with a cut bi-metallic balance with cylindrical heat compensation weights and blued steel helical balance spring; the fine quality two-tier mahogany box has the key slot beneath the sliding lid and the original long-shafted tipsy winding key.
