A fine mahogany two-day marine chronometer. Retailed by John Clark, Greenock No. 18. The dial signed Jn. Clark Greenock 18 with up-and-down sector calibrated 0-48; full-plate movement signed Poole LONDON No. 580 on the top plate, cut bimetallic balance with segmental heat compensation weights and Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone; the three-tier brass-bound mahogany box with ebony seal, bone plaque to the centre section and brass drop handles to the sides.
