A fine brass-bound mahogany two-day marine chronometer. The dial signed Henry Frodsham 40, Castle Street, Liverpool 4956, with up-and-down sector calibrated 0-48; the movement has well spotted plates with four unusual baluster pillars, cut bimetallic balance with segmental heat compensation weights, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone; movement dust cover with bayonet fixing, mahogany box with brass drop handles to the sides, original tipsy winding key numbered 4956.
