A fine ebony striking table clock with calendar and quarter repeat. The 7½ inch brass dial is set with a calendar ring in the arch with a star-pierced centre typical of the Windmills' workshops. The substantial 5 pillar movement has twin fusees, knife-edge verge escapement and quarter repeat on 6 bells. The backplate is beautifully engraved with birds and foliage and an engraved bust of the goddess Diana
