A rare George III Mahogany dial clock with silent verge escapement. With convex glass and concave cast brass bezel, the 12 inch diameter silvered dial is signed John Gudgeon, Bury with heart shaped blued spade hands and Roman and Arabic chapters and minute track. The movement with A-shaped brass plates, spring barrel and wire fusee, silent verge escapement with gut pallets, within a pegged salt box with side and base doors.
