19 inches high
A fine Victorian ebony and gilt-brass mounted quarter chiming table clock. This highly impressive clock is a fine interpretation of a copy of the 'Tulip Tompion' which is a unique grande sonnerie table clock originally made in about 1685 by Thomas Tompion. The very substantial movement has lovely melliflous chimes on 8 bells, whilst the case has impressive proportions and a top quality basket top, handle and mounts.
