A fine ebony Dutch striking table clock of phase II type. The case is of the finest quality with a typical foliate-tied handle, foliate mounts and swivel escutcheons. The dial has well sculpted blued steel hands, a calendar aperture and finely chased winged spandrels. The fully latched movement has 5 vase-shaped pillars, knife-edge verge escapement and Dutch strike on 2 bells via a twice-cut countwheel on the backplate which is engraved with a flowing signature amidst tulips and foliage.
